Teachers know and understand the content area for which they have instructional responsibility.

As an industry professional, I understand the pressures and expectations placed on a graphic designer. I’m aware of the necessary skills for success in this field. Given that I’m still active in the industry and have an excellent advisory committee, I stay informed about future needs.

I’ve structured the course to scaffold students’ learning and engage them in the craft of design. The course prepares students for the industry while teaching state content standards.

Shown is an example of a pacing guide created for all four CTE classes  from WHHS. This guide is aligned to the WebXam content, so that by the completion of the course the students would have the necessary knowledge to pass the WebXam.
