Learning Environment

Standard 5.

Teachers create learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students.
A clean environment equates to a distraction-free, ready-to-learn setting in my perspective. This standard doesn’t solely focus on the physical environment, but also considers the social, emotional, and physical needs of the students.

Getting students into the right mental state for learning is a crucial part of my teaching strategy. I do this by priming them with engaging introductory questions that stimulate their curiosity, setting a daily routine that provides structure, and maintaining a clear and predictable schedule, minimizing uncertainty and anxiety. This holistic approach ensures that my students are always in the best state to learn, absorb, and grow.
